Michigan Horse Therapy

HORSES ARE THE FOUNDATION OF WHAT WE DO AT HORSE THERAPY, INC

You have the opportunity to sponsor one of our delightful, good-natured program horses. No carrying water, throwing hay or mucking stalls is needed! A fully-deductible donation of $6000 covers all the care, feeding, stable comfort, nutritional and healthcare needs for your chosen horse for an entire year. Our staff provides the kindness and our participants provide the love and treats! You are recognized as the adoptive family on the stall and you will receive updates about your horse throughout the year. Of course you can schedule a visit to to check on them in person, and it’s always fun to introduce your family and friends … so bring them along!

Lucy

The 25-year-old bay off-the-track Thoroughbred with a heart as boundless as her years of
service. Her many years of experience make her an indispensable part of the lesson program, and
her understanding, sensitive nature make her a steadfast companion for her rider.

Tinkerbell

The vivacious 17-year-old Welsh cross brings a touch of elegance and whimsy to
our organization. Formerly a show pony, Tinkerbell’s graceful past has seamlessly evolved into a
role as a cherished friend to those benefiting from therapeutic riding. Her engaging personality
and sure-footed steadiness make her a favorite among young riders as they explore the world of
equine-assisted therapy.

Romeo

The captivating Black Forest pony with a mane to rival Fabio. Despite his stocky
appearance, Romeo’s backstory unveils a different chapter as the once-speedy Ricochet. Now, in
his role as a cornerstone of our program, Romeo exudes quiet strength and a calming demeanor.
His strong, sturdy build and good-natured personality make him a great companion for many
types of riders.

Addie

An Oldenburg mare with a heart of gold, she is everyone’s best friend. She radiates
sweetness both on the ground and in the saddle. There is nothing she won’t do for her rider.
Whether guiding students through new challenges or offering companionship in quiet moments,
Addie leaves an enduring mark as a cherished partner.
